DESCRIPTION:UW-Stout Professor of English and Oscar Wilde scholar\, Joan Navarre\, will introduce and moderate an Oscar Wilde Birthday Event:  live streaming from the British Library. Merlin Holland\, the grandson of Oscar Wilde\, will be speaking with noted actor Rupert Everett about Oscar Wilde’s life and legacy. \nOscar Wilde’s life in the limelight is well known. He continues to be celebrated for his sparking comedies and timeless wit. What is not well known are the myths and legends that arose after his death. Oscar Wilde died in November 1900. He had been exiled in Paris\, chased by scandal\, and broken by prison life. A new book\, After Oscar: the Legacy of a Scandal\, written by Wilde’s only grandson\, sheds light on the legacy of Oscar Wilde. This British Library event\, taking place on Oscar Wilde’s birthday\, features Merlin Holland in conversation with Rupert Everett. They will discuss details of the remarkable posthumous life of one of our most celebrated literary and cultural figures.

Directed and modified by Russell Slack\, the production will take the \nstage at the historic Mabel Tainter Theater—built in 1889—on October 10\, 11\, and 12\, \nas well as October 16\, 17\, and 18\, 2025. \n  \nSet in 1905 at a fictionalized University of Wisconsin–Stout\, this version blends Victorian \nand Edwardian style with whimsical steampunk flair. While rooted in the charm and wit \nof the original 1892 play\, the local adaptation brings a unique visual style and Midwest \nflavor that makes it unlike anything Chippewa Valley audiences have seen before. \n“This isn’t just a period comedy—it’s a heartfelt look at the sometimes ridiculous\, \nsometimes tender lengths we go to for the people we love\,” says Director Russell Slack. \n“My hope is that audiences leave the theater smiling\, feeling entertained\, and maybe \neven recognizing a bit of themselves in these characters.”

Never been in a corn maze and afraid you won’t find your way out? Don’t worry\, we have games you play to help you find your way out\, or if all else fails we have corn cops to help you find your way. If you are really adventurous\, try the maze on Friday and Saturday nights by flashlight.\n​\nThe maze and all the fall activities are great activities for 4H clubs\, Youth Groups\, School Groups\, Scouts Troops\, Company Gatherings\, and College Groups. If you are joining us in the evening\, bring your flashlight and enjoy the corn maze in the dark (this is not haunted). Once you find your way out of the maze\, join us by the bonfire and roast a marshmallow or two. \n Included in Admission:Corn maze\, wagon ride\, mini golf\, giant slide\, flying farmer line\, hay jump\, corn box\, duck races\, steer roping\, corn hole\, giant Jenga\, giant checkers\, farm babies (Saturday & Sunday only 11am-5pm)\, rat rollers\, tractor pull\, tug of war\, connect four and much more! If you are really adventurous\, try the maze on Friday and Saturday nights by flashlight.\n​\nThe maze and all the fall activities are great activities for 4H clubs\, Youth Groups\, School Groups\, Scouts Troops\, Company Gatherings\, and College Groups. If you are joining us in the evening\, bring your flashlight and enjoy the corn maze in the dark (this is not haunted). Directed and modified by Russell Slack\, the production will take the \nstage at the historic Mabel Tainter Theater—built in 1889—on October 10\, 11\, and 12\, \nas well as October 16\, 17\, and 18\, 2025. \n  \nSet in 1905 at a fictionalized University of Wisconsin–Stout\, this version blends Victorian \nand Edwardian style with whimsical steampunk flair. While rooted in the charm and wit \nof the original 1892 play\, the local adaptation brings a unique visual style and Midwest \nflavor that makes it unlike anything Chippewa Valley audiences have seen before. \n“This isn’t just a period comedy—it’s a heartfelt look at the sometimes ridiculous\, \nsometimes tender lengths we go to for the people we love\,” says Director Russell Slack. \n“My hope is that audiences leave the theater smiling\, feeling entertained\, and maybe \neven recognizing a bit of themselves in these characters.”

DESCRIPTION:Fall Fun\nCome out and enjoy the fun this fall in our 11 acre corn maze\, pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch\, shoot a pumpkin from the pumpkin cannon or enjoy one of the many other activities we have for all ages. Never been in a corn maze and afraid you won’t find your way out? Don’t worry\, we have games you play to help you find your way out\, or if all else fails we have corn cops to help you find your way. If you are really adventurous\, try the maze on Friday and Saturday nights by flashlight.\n​\nThe maze and all the fall activities are great activities for 4H clubs\, Youth Groups\, School Groups\, Scouts Troops\, Company Gatherings\, and College Groups. If you are joining us in the evening\, bring your flashlight and enjoy the corn maze in the dark (this is not haunted). Once you find your way out of the maze\, join us by the bonfire and roast a marshmallow or two. \n Included in Admission:Corn maze\, wagon ride\, mini golf\, giant slide\, flying farmer line\, hay jump\, corn box\, duck races\, steer roping\, corn hole\, giant Jenga\, giant checkers\, farm babies (Saturday & Sunday only 11am-5pm)\, rat rollers\, tractor pull\, tug of war\, connect four and much more! All activities are made for adults too. Some activities may close due to weather or staffing. The past clashes with the present\, as the young square off with the dead\, and the Headless Horseman is brought into a 21st century of bicycles and cell phones.
