Momentum West provides technical assistance, talent attraction, and development initiatives to foster business success. UWIN is a collaboration between UW-Eau Claire, UW-River Falls, UW-Stout and Momentum West designed to increase the number of internships in Western Wisconsin. The initiative emphasizes connecting students from Western Wisconsin universities with small and mid-sized organizations to gain professional experience.
Techstart is a collaboration between CVTC (ChippewaValley Technical College), WITC (Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College) Visions Northwest and Momentum West designed to increase the number of internships and apprenticeships in Northwestern Wisconsin. The initiative emphasizes connecting students from Northwestern Wisconsin tech colleges with small and mid-sized organizations to gain professional experience.
The City of Menomonie, local employers, the Greater Menomonie Development Corporation, and the Community Foundation of Dunn County have launched the "Home Sweet Menomonie" program, offering 0% loans of up to $10,000 for down payment assistance. This program is available to employees of participating employers who want to purchase a home in Menomonie. Loans are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
