Buried in snow but dreaming of summer? 🌸 Us too.
Join us April 11 for a unique on-campus experience that will keep you thinking about warmer temperatures. Keiko Morikawa, Japanese Outreach Initiative Coordinator at UW-Stout will lead Dreaming of Summer in Japan: A Yukata & Purikura Experience. In this lively, hands-on class, you’ll explore the history of the yukata, a light summer garment worn at festivals across Japan—and even try one on yourself.
It’s a fun way to experience Japanese summer traditions while connecting with your community right here in Menomonie.
This class is FREE, but registration is required since space is limited due to the number of yukata available.
