The History

Dunn County is an open and welcoming community that celebrates diversity and invites a culture of collaborative thinking for communities to work together for a shared future. Dunn was created from a portion of Chippewa County in the mid-1800s. Its present-day boundaries encompass some 858 square miles of beautiful deciduous and coniferous forests, pristine lakes and riverways, as well as some pretty unique rock formations and natural landmarks.
