The Get It Dunn Run 5k and Brooke’s Kids’ Fun Run are put on by local non-profits, the Brooke Richartz Foundation, Inc. and Mind Over Matter (M.O.M.), Inc. Both non-profit organizations were inspired by amazing women who lived life to its fullest. The events are a tribute to these women and a way to keep their spirits alive while promoting healthy living and community involvement. The funds raised from the events are used by both organizations to help youth stay active by attending summer camps, attend post-secondary schools and to act as a conduit for young adults who want to map out a path for their professional lives post-high school.This year’s event will be held on June 8, 2024 and is expected to be even more spectacular than 2023, especially after the positive feedback from Brooke’s Kids’ Fun Run. The 5K will begin at 9:00 a.m. and Brooke’s Kids’ Fun Run will start at 10:30 a.m. Both events are followed by an awards ceremony and a post-race celebration located near the finish lines of both events
